Former EXO member Huang Zitao and Chinese singer Xu Yiyang set to celebrate marriage with fans in public ceremony

Huang Zitao, a former EXO member, also known as Tao, is set to officialy get married to Chinese singer-actress Xu Yiyang—and they’re inviting fans to join in the celebration.

After months of speculation and planning, the couple has announced they will hold a wedding reception open to fans this October.

The two entertainers, who reportedly began dating in 2020, made their relationship public in July 2024. Just a few months later, they quietly registered their marriage in December and received their official Chinese marriage certificate.

Now, they’re preparing to take the next big step with a public celebration they’ve been organizing for over half a year.

Tao confirmed the upcoming wedding reception during a recent appearance on the variety show Our Love Song, revealing that around 100 fans are expected to be invited. While exact details about the date and participation process are still under wraps, the announcement has already stirred excitement among supporters.

The couple has been no stranger to the spotlight. Xu Yiyang, a singer and actress managed under Z.Tao Studio and L.Tao Entertainment—both founded by Tao—has often appeared alongside him on various TV programs. Their professional collaboration blossomed into a long-term relationship, culminating in their marriage.

Meanwhile, rumors of a secret child continue to circulate. In 2024, Xu was spotted shopping for baby items and visiting an OB-GYN in the U.S., fueling speculation. Sightings of Tao’s mother with a nanny and an unidentified baby added to the buzz. However, neither Tao nor Xu has addressed the rumors publicly.

With Tao now becoming the second EXO member to marry—following Chen—fans are celebrating this new chapter in his life. While his departure from EXO in 2015 was fraught with legal disputes, his continued success in China has kept him in the limelight.
