Diljit Dosanjh’s old neighbor from his village Dosanjh meets him at his concert in Chicago, singer says she took care of him for 8–9 years like her own child

Diljit penned an extensive note for Ms. Bubbey, who relocated from Dosanjh village to Chicago during his early childhood.

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been busy with his DIL-LUMINATI Tour 2024, and for that, he reached Chicago, USA. Once there, Diljit told the huge gathering about his neighbor in his village, Dosanjh Kalan, who had taken care of him like her own son when he was very young.

Diljit wrote a long note for Ms. Bubbey, who moved from Dosanjh village to Chicago when Diljit was very young.

The ‘Chamkila’ actor took some time to pause his concert and told the audience about Bubbey ji and how she had taken care of him when he was a child. He mentioned she had promised to carry him in her luggage, but she never did.

Diljit told the gathering that now that I am in Chicago, where are you? Bubbey’s daughter shared a video of her mom from the concert.

Diljit then shared a few photos of his meeting with her and wrote a long note in Punjabi.

Kal Chicago De Show Te Aeya cyou, Thank You Bhen Sarey Parivaar Da Dilon Dhanwaad Te BautSatkaarJi (village,ji from mKalan,lage Dosanjh Kalan to8–9care of me for 8-9 years, treating me like her own son. She would feed me “gud roti.” When I learned that she was moving to the US, she promised to carry me with her in her bag. As a child, I believed she would actually take me along. I cried a lot when their entire family moved to the US. Yesterday, during my performance in Chicago, it was heartwarming to meet her in person and reconnect with her family. I’m grateful to them all. )
