The 77th Emmy Awards is all set to return on CBS to recognise the talented TV actors and the worth-watching shows. However, CBS has recently announced the host of the 2025 award ceremony.
Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze will host the 77th Emmy Awards. The award ceremony will premiere on September 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
CBS announced the news on its official Instagram account and wrote, “he #Emmys has a host! Don’t miss @natebargatze host the 77th Emmy® Awards LIVE coast to coast Sunday, September 14th at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS and @ParamountPlus!”
However, the comedian has also reflected on the announcement and said in the statement to the outlet, “It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world.”
Meanwhile, Emmy nominations are all set to be announced by the Television Academy on Tuesday, July 15. Viewers can stream live at 8.30 a.m. PT on Emmys.com. However, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on September 6-7, before the main Emmys ceremony.

For the unversed, Nate Bargatze is a highly sought-after comedian, known for his Netflix specials, including December's Your Friend, Nate Bargatze and hosting gigs, including Saturday Night Live. He's the top-earning comedian of 2024.
