Chiranjeevi pays tribute to his mother-in-law

Telugu actor and comedian Allu Ramalingaiah’s wife, Allu Kanakaratnammai, who was also Megastar Chiranjeevi’s mother-in-law, passed away on Saturday. Several prominent figures from the Telugu film industry paid tribute to Allu Kanakaratnammai.

Chiranjeevi also mourned the loss of his mother-in-law. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) and penned an emotional tribute to her.

He wrote in Telugu, and its translation into English reads, “It is very sad that our mother-in-law, K.S. Allu Ramalingaiah's wife, Kanakaratnamma, has passed away. The love, courage, and values ​​she showed to our families will always be an example to us.  I pray to God that her holy soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”

Chiranjeevi arrived in Hyderabad at Allu Ramalingaiah’s house today to pay his last respects to his late mother-in-law. He also turned into a pallbearer along with Allu Arjun and Ram Charan. The Megastar was spotted emotionally devastated by the loss.

Allu Kanakaratnam passed away in the early hours of Saturday at 1:45 AM due to age-related issues.

However, actor, producer and politician Naga Babu Konidela extended his condolences to Allu Aravind and his family. He tweeted, “Dear Aravind garu, Vadhina garu, Vasantha garu, and all beloved family members, My heartfelt condolences to you during this time of loss. May you find strength in each other, comfort in cherished memories, and peace in knowing that love never fades. My prayers are with you all."

Allu Kanakaratnammai was the mother of producer Allu Aravind and the grandmother of actor Allu Arjun. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan also left his Peddi shoot in the middle and jetted off from Mysore to Hyderabad soon after her received the news.

The final rites of Allu Kanakaratnammai were held today.
