Min Hee Jin is back in the spotlight as BTS fans, known as ARMY, have mobilised to oppose her potential reinstatement as CEO of ADOR. The controversy has sparked a global hashtag campaign on social media, with fans voicing their discontent and concerns.

South Korean media outlets Newsen and My Daily Korea reported that BTS’ official fandom had successfully trended several hashtags worldwide, including “Min Hee Jin out”, “ARMYs Want MHJ out”, and “Don’t use BTS and ARMY”. These hashtags gained traction across various regions, including the UK, North America, Germany, Poland, and parts of Southeast Asia.

This online movement was not the only action taken by BTS fans. On September 16, ARMY issued a detailed statement on X (formerly Twitter) to clarify their position regarding Min Hee Jin's return. They expressed concern over the spread of misinformation and outlined their reasons for opposing her reinstatement as ADOR CEO, a subsidiary of HYBE.

In their statement, ARMY emphasised their collective opposition, citing Min Hee Jin’s alleged questionable actions against BTS during their military service. They accused her of consulting with a shaman with intentions to harm the boy band and manipulating Korean media to foster negative public opinion about BTS and their fanbase.

The statement further condemned any media narratives and unfounded accusations against BTS, viewing them as support for Min Hee Jin’s agenda. ARMY asserted that BTS is currently unable to freely express their opinions, which strengthens the fandom’s resolve. They urged Min Hee Jin to cease using BTS and their fandom as tools to further her own interests.

Min Hee Jin had previously stepped down from her role as ADOR CEO on August 27 KST. However, she recently filed for an injunction to be reinstated, prompting the backlash from BTS fans.
