Both stars took to social media and the streets to celebrate the milestone, reminding fans why the film still holds a special place in their hearts.
On Instagram, actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna posted two endearing old pictures: the original Barsaat poster and an unposed black-and-white photo of a young Bobby Deol making a funny face next to her.
The image captures their off-screen friendship as Bobby's playful energy contrasts beautifully with Twinkle's composed smile.
Reminiscing about their shared debut, Twinkle wrote,
“Hard to believe that it’s been thirty years and we are still here doing our thing. @iambobbydeol just sent me this picture from our Barsaat days. I suppose disappearing gracefully was never our style :) #30YearsOfBarsaat.”
The post struck a chord instantly, with fans flooding the comments section to share fond memories of the film. One fan wrote, “The amount of times I sang ‘Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai’... this film was pure magic.” Another called it “a classic debut” and praised both stars for their lasting charm.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Barsaat became one of the biggest romantic hits of the mid-’90s, launching two of the most adored newcomers of the decade.
The film featured timeless songs like "Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai" and "Nahin Jeeya Jaaye Na," which still evoke sentimental feelings, thanks to Nadeem-Shravan's soulful music.

Meanwhile, Bobby Deol celebrated the milestone in his own endearing way — by cutting a cake with the paparazzi, who’ve been part of his journey since the very beginning.
The cake, which read “Happy 30 Years Bobby,” was a sweet nod to his three-decade-long career.
Bobby, dressed casually in denim jeans and a violet T-shirt with red stripes, was spotted chatting, laughing, and posing for pictures with the press.
He was captured on camera sharing the cake and cutting it, a gesture that exemplified his warmth and humility.
