Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which released on October 21, opened to a moderate start at the box office. According to industry trade reports, the Harshvardhan Rane-starrer earned Rs 8.50 crore on its opening day.
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.51% across theatres.
The Day 1 Hindi (2D) occupancy steadily increased throughout the day, starting with 19.76% in the morning shows, rising to 46.34% in the afternoon, peaking at 47.16% in the evening, and holding strong at 44.76% for the night shows. Cities like Bengaluru (58.75%), Chennai and Lucknow (56%), Mumbai (37%), and the National Capital Region (45%) recorded the highest ticket sales for this romantic drama.
Harshvardhan Rane's career has seen its largest opening to date with this release. But on the same day, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's supernatural drama Thamma came out, posing a serious threat to the movie.
Nevertheless, it is anticipated that the Diwali festival rush will boost its earnings and box office performance.
The film stars Harshvardhan Rane as Vikramaditya, Sonam Bajwa as Adaa Randhawa, Shaad Randhawa as Sanjay, and Sachin Khedekar as Adaa’s father.
A part on Moneycontrol's review read as, "‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ is a cinematic ride of unrestrained emotion, indulgent romance, and pulsating drama. It is not a subtle love story—it is a spectacle built for audiences who revel in intensity, fiery confrontations, and music that lingers long after the credits roll. While certain plot twists strain credibility and the second half drags at times, the film’s energy, strong lead performances, and striking visuals make it a watchable affair. Designed for mass appeal but still relatable to viewers who follow a story of desire pushed to extremes, this film presents a bold, unapologetic, and occasionally over-the-top romance."
