Anupamaa actress Alisha Parveen breaks silence on being replaced in the show, writes, "Don't know the reason exactly why this happened..."

Actress Alisha Parveen, widely recognized for her role as Raahi in the television series Anupamaa, recently revealed on social media that she has been unexpectedly replaced in the show by the makers. Alisha portrayed Raahi, the adopted daughter of Anupama (played by Rupali Ganguly) and Anuj. Her character was central to the storyline, which delved into the complex dynamics of Anupama and Raahi's strained relationship.

Alisha had joined the cast in October 2024, stepping into the lead role as the show took a 15-year leap. Her sudden departure, just two months after her introduction, has left fans surprised and questioning the unexpected decision by the show's creators.

The actress, who joined the show just two months ago during its generational leap, confirmed her exit through an Instagram Stories post. In her note, she addressed the situation and shared her thoughts with fans in a note that read, "Hello everyone, I didn't quit the show #Anupama but I don't know the reason exactly why this happened, everything was good but I don't know why this suddenly happened, it was shocking for me too, but thankyou so much for loving Raahi/Aadhya, i am so grateful to being a part of this, I worked so hard for the character but I don't know what just happened, just thankyou everyone who loved me! I will miss this show from the depth of my heart!"

According to reports, Adrija Roy, who was last seen in Kundali Bhagya, will be stepping into the role of the new Rahi.

Currently, Anupamaa focuses on the strained dynamic between Anupamaa and Raahi, alongside a complex love triangle involving Prem, Raahi, and Maahi. Although Prem and Raahi share mutual feelings, Raahi keeps her emotions hidden because her cousin, Maahi (played by Spreha Chatterjee), is also in love with Prem.

A number of actors, including Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, Gaurav Khanna, and Madalsa Sharma, have exited the show after the introduction of the 15-year leap storyline. Starring Rupali Ganguly, Anupamaa premiered in 2020 and has remained a fan favorite ever since.
