Actor Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with a stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the Pushpa-2 premiere on December 4, which led to the death of 35-year-old Revathi. The stampede occurred when Arjun's appearance caused a rush of people, and poor crowd management resulted in chaos. Despite prior knowledge of Arjun’s arrival, the theatre did not make adequate security provisions. Three individuals, including a co-partner of the theatre, were previously arrested. Arjun and his team face charges under sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Arjun has filed a plea to quash the FIR and halt proceedings.
