Alia Bhatt has sent the internet into a frenzy with her heartfelt reaction to the first look of Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited mythological epic, Ramayana. Taking to her Instagram, Alia shared the teaser of the film featuring her husband Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, captioning it:
“Some things don’t need words. This feels like the start of something unforgettable. Diwali 2026 — we’re waiting.”

With Ranbir not having a public presence on social media, Alia’s gesture served as a powerful endorsement of the ambitious project, and fans quickly picked up on the emotional weight behind her words.
The first look of Ramayana was unveiled on Thursday, and it has already made a thunderous impact online. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the fearsome Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Laxman.

The teaser, spanning just over three minutes, opens with a mesmerizing display of stunning visuals and cutting-edge VFX. Ranbir Kapoor appears in a serene yet powerful avatar as Lord Ram—seen climbing trees, drawing his bow, and exuding calm determination. His transformation into the revered warrior-prince has been widely praised, with one fan writing, “Those 2-second clips of Ranbir blew my mind.”

Yash, who plays Ravana, makes a dramatic appearance in the teaser. Though only a portion of his face is revealed, his imposing presence and intense energy have already left viewers impressed. One comment called his entrance “the perfect menacing touch,” while others hailed the teaser as “the greatest faceoff between stars.”

Producer Namit Malhotra, in a passionate Instagram post, reflected on the journey of making the film:
“Ten years of aspiration. Relentless conviction to bring the greatest epic of all time to the world... Let’s celebrate the IMMORTAL story of Rama v/s Ravana. Our Truth. Our History.”

The teaser was launched in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Hyderabad. However, the key cast members—including Ranbir Kapoor—did not attend the Mumbai and Delhi events. Ranbir is currently in London with Alia and his mother, Neetu Kapoor.
