The famous actor Akhil Akkineni is all geared up to start a new journey in his personal as well as public life, as his long-term girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee, exchanged marriage vows on June 6, 2025. The lovebirds, who exchanged rings in a private function in November 2024, have locked their wedding date and it is turning out to be one of the most anticipated events in the Telugu celeb circle in 2021.

Unlike his half-brother Naga Chaitanya, who opted for a low-key wedding with fiancé Sobhita Dhulipala, Akhil’s wedding, if a source is to be believed, will be a big fat South Indian wedding.

As per reports, the big fat event will be held at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, which holds a lot of nostalgia for the Akkineni family. They’re set to host a special celebration in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and if the past has shown us anything, it’s that it’s going to be just as grand.

It’s going to be nothing if not a glittering guest list to that wedding. A galaxy of stars from Telugu cinema and politics are expected to attend the wedding. Nagarjuna Akkineni is actively involved in the wedding preparations and he has been inviting people in person, reports reveal.

Others already invited include Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The Akkineni family and Zainab’s parents have made these invitations the most warmest and traditional ones.

The bride-to-be, Zainab Ravdjee, is an artist and perfumer in Mumbai. She is the daughter of the industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, originally from Hyderabad, and has gained renown with exhibitions in India, Dubai and London.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akhil has not had a release as yet after his 2023 film Agent, a spy action thriller, which failed to perform well at the box office. The stylish star was off to a bad start after Taramani failed at the box office but he’s betting big on Lenin, opposite Sreeleela.

With the wedding day looming, the fans and well-wishers are awaiting to behold sneak peeks of the wedding, which is expectedly a perfect dab of tradition, grace and cinematic glamour.
