Nashik holds significant political importance in Maharashtra, being both a district and a Lok Sabha constituency. Its location on the banks of the Godavari River adds to its cultural and historical significance. The Nashik Lok Sabha constituency covers several Assembly seats, including Sinnar, Deolali, Nashik East, Nashik Central, Nashik West, and Igatpuri, reflecting its diverse demographic and political landscape.

Nashik, one of of Maharashtra’s 48 Lok Sabha seats, will vote during Phase 5 of the General Elections, on May 20, 2024. With 31 candidates in the fray, the Nashik Lok Sabha constituency promises a dynamic and competitive electoral landscape.

The 2019 Lok Sabha election in Nashik witnessed a significant victory for Hemant Godse of Shiv Sena, who secured 563,599 votes. He defeated Sameer Bhujbal of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and independent candidate Manikrao Kokate. This victory marked a continuation of Godse's success from the 2014 election when he defeated veteran leader Chhagan Bhujbal from the NCP.

In 2014, Hemant Godse secured the seat with 494,735 votes, outperforming Chhagan Bhujbal, who garnered 307,399 votes. This trend suggests a strong political presence and support base for Shiv Sena in the Nashik constituency during these elections.
