Wearing yellow T-shirts with a picture of party chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal behind bars, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders protested against the BJP-led Centre against his arrest outside the Delhi Legislative Assembly on March 27.
Led by Delhi health minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and finance minister Atishi, the AAP legislators raised slogans demanding the release of the chief minister, who was taken in to custody by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

AAP leaders had gathered outside the Delhi Assembly for a one-day session. Acting on Kejriwal's instructions, Bhardwaj informed the Delhi residents can avail free medicines and free tests in hospitals and mohalla clinics. Should there be any deficiency, Kejriwal has given Bhardwaj the greenlight to come up with a complete plan to correct it.
The leaders also stormed into the well of the House and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah for allegedly suppressing the voice of political opponents. “Every family in Delhi has a Kejriwal. They (Centre) can arrest Kejriwal, but how will they arrest the Kejriwal in every house? The ideology of Arvind Kejriwal cannot be arrested. Not only the national capital, but entire country is witness to the dictatorship of the BJP,” said Saurabh Bhardwaj.
In the AAP camp, the yellow colour gained significance during the assembly elections held in Punjab in 2022 as the party won the state with a thumping majority.
The AAP leaders have been wearing yellow coloured turbans as tribute to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
