BJP candidate Praveen Khandelwal has won the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 89,325 votes against his nearest rival Jai Prakash Agarwal from Congress.

Khandelwal is contesting the Lok Sabha elections for the first time. He belongs to the trader community and is the Secretary General of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

In absolute numbers, also the voter turnout fell in 2024 at 9,64,503 voters as compared to 9,80,814 voters in 2019. The number of registered voters in the constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections stands at 16,45,958.
In 2019, BJP won the Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat with its candidate Harsh Vardhan defeating Congress candidate Jai Prakash Agarwal and AAP’s Pankaj Kumar Gupta.
Chandni Chowk constituency is one of the seven Lok Sabha constituencies in National Capital Territory of Delhi.
The Lok Sabha constituency has ten Assembly segments under it – Adarsh Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Shakur Basti, Tri Nagar, Wazirpur, Model Town, Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Matia Mahal and Ballimaran.

Harsh Vardhan won with a huge margin with 52.94 percent votes in 2019 while Jai Prakash Agarwal from Congress and AAP’s Pankaj Kumar Gupta got 29.67 percent and 14.74 percent votes respectively.
In 2014, BJP’s Harsh Vardhan defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Ashutosh and Congress’ Kapil Sibal with 44.60 percent votes. While AAP got 30.72 percent votes, Congress received 17.95 percent votes in 2014. In 2009, Congress’ Sibal won from the constituency with 59.67 percent votes.
The Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency came into existence in 1957.
