NEET UG exam controversy: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday urged the public and political parties to refrain from spreading rumors and politicizing the issue surrounding the NEET UG paper examination.
Speaking over the alleged NEET UG paper leak case in Bihar, Pradhan said, "We are in touch with the Bihar government in relation to the NEET UG paper leak case. A full report will be made available soon. All offenders will be punished."
He emphasized, "Don't let isolated incidents affect the careers of students."
Pradhan also announced that the government has formed a high-level committee to seek recommendations on improving the structure of the NTA and enhancing transparency. The committee will consists of all the technocrats, scientists, academician and other education experts.

The NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate) has also faced its share of controversies. Allegations of cheating and question paper leaks have plagued the exam, leading to widespread student unrest and demands for a re-exam. The Ministry of Education has been under pressure to address these issues decisively, ensuring that the credibility of the examination process is upheld and the future of aspiring medical students is safeguarded.
NEET UG Re-exam Date & Time
The NEET UG re-exam is scheduled for June 23, 2024, from 2 PM to 5:20 PM in pen and paper mode for 1,563 students. According to the NTA's notice, this re-exam is specifically for candidates who received "compensatory marks" during the initial evaluation.
