The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) will close the registration window for the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2025 today, November 20, 2025. Aspiring candidates who have not yet completed their applications must visit the official website at mppsc.mp.gov.in immediately to submit their forms.

The MP SET is for candidates seeking to secure a position as an Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across Madhya Pradesh. With the deadline looming, applicants are advised to avoid last-minute technical glitches and complete the process well before the 11:59 PM cutoff.

Steps to apply for MP SET 2025

For those applying at the last minute, follow these simple steps to ensure your application is submitted correctly:

Step 1. Visit the official website at mppsc.mp.gov.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, click on the active notification for "Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025."
Step 3. If you are a new user, click on the registration link and enter the required basic details to generate your credentials.
Step 4. Use your registration number and password to log in and carefully fill out the detailed application form.
Step 5. Scan and upload all necessary documents—photograph, signature, and category certificates—as per the specified format and size.
Step 6. Proceed to pay the MP SET application fee through the available online payment modes.
Step 7. Double-check all entered information for accuracy before finally submitting the form.
Step 8. Download the confirmation page and take a printout for your future records and reference.

MP SET 2025 Application Fee Structure

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category:

  • General & Other State Candidates: ₹500 + ₹40 (Portal Fee) = ₹540
  • MP Resident (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD): ₹250 + ₹40 (Portal Fee) = ₹290

Correction Window and Late Fee

Candidates should take note of the following critical deadlines beyond the registration closure:

  • Application Correction Window: The facility to correct errors in the submitted form will be available until November 22, 2025. A fee of ₹50 per correction will be applicable.
  • Late Application Window: MPPSC provides a final opportunity for latecomers with a hefty late fee:

November 21 to 28, 2025: ₹3,000 + ₹40 portal fee.
  • November 29 up to 10 days before the exam: ₹25,000 + ₹40 portal fee.
MP SET 2025 Exam Pattern

The MP SET examination will be conducted in two papers:

Paper I (Compulsory): 50 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks. This paper is designed to assess teaching and research aptitude.

Paper II (Subject-Specific): 100 objective-type questions carrying 200 marks, based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Exam Duration: The total time for both papers will be 3 hours.
