Industrialist and RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka has made a huge prediction on social media: "AI will reinvent work." In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), Goenka painted a future where artificial intelligence doesn't just eliminate jobs, it transforms them, creating uncertainty but also unprecedented opportunity.
Goenka's message is clear: AI will change everything about how we work. He said, "AI will disrupt work and reinvent it. New jobs like prompt engineers, AI product managers, and AI ethics specialists will emerge. The workplace will look very different."
His words come just days after Indian-American billionaire Vinod Khosla's chilling forecast that AI could replace 80% of jobs in 3-5 years and even make college degrees irrelevant.
The reactions online were a mix of fear and hope. Some professionals panicked at the possibility of mass unemployment, while others saw an opportunity if they act fast.
In response to Goenka’s views on AI, users shared varied perspectives. Kalpana Jaggi remarked, "AI will definitely disrupt our lives while bringing in new applications. However, the fact remains that humans and human feelings will still be important. Hopefully, after 20 or 30 years (when we are not on this planet) people will want to go back to village life and live like normal humans."
Meanwhile, another user cautioned about the evolving job landscape, stating, "Prompt engineers jobs are gone as AI can now understand simple English and have chat based interface."
Goenka's underlying message was clear: The "winners" in this new era won't be those with the most experience, but those with the most adaptability.
Prompt Engineers: The new-age coders who master AI communication.
AI Product Managers: The bridge between tech and business strategy.
AI Ethics Specialists: The guardians against deepfakes and misinformation.
