IGNOU July 2025 re-registration deadline extended till 15th; link to apply here

IGNOU has extended the re-registration deadline for July 2025 to 15 July. Students can complete the process online at the official portal for both ODL and online programmes.

July 02, 2025 / 13:46 IST

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for re-registration for the July 2025 academic session. Students now have time till 15 July 2025 to complete the re-registration process for both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.

The re-registration process started on 15 May 2025. It is meant for existing students who are continuing their studies in the next semester or academic year. The facility is open to both Indian and international learners through IGNOU’s official re-registration portal https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.

Who can apply?

The university has made it clear that the re-registration option is available to all students already enrolled in any programme even if they have not appeared for the term-end exam or submitted their assignments. This approach allows students dealing with academic or personal issues to continue their education without a gap.

How to complete IGNOU July 2025 re-registration

To complete the process, students should follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.
  2. New users must click on “New Registration” and enter a valid mobile number and email ID. Existing users can log in directly using their credentials.
  3. Students should select courses carefully by referring to their programme guide. Changes made later may reduce available study time.
  4. Use your personal debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking to pay online. Students from the International Division may use region-specific payment options.
  5. Ensure the payment goes through and save a printout of the form and confirmation for records.

Students are advised not to delay the re-registration process and complete the form well before the deadline. Those using third-party services such as cyber cafes should cross-check their course choices and payment details before final submission.
