NTA JEE Main 2026 Registration Last Date Today, Direct Link to Apply Here

The NTA will close JEE Main 2026 Session 1 registration today. Candidates must submit their forms by 9 pm and complete fee payment by 11:50 pm on the official website.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 today, 27 November 2025. Candidates who have not yet completed the application must do so on the official website before the deadline. The registration portal will shut at 9:00 pm, and fee payments will be accepted until 11:50 pm.

JEE Main is the national entrance test for undergraduate engineering courses such as B.E. and B.Tech offered at NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. It also serves as the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Session 1 Schedule and Important Dates

The first session of JEE Main 2026 will take place from 21 to 30 January 2026. The NTA will announce the examination city in the first week of January 2026. Admit cards will be issued afterward on the official website. Results for Session 1 are expected by 12 February 2026.

How to apply for JEE Main 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the application:

  1. Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on “JEE Main 2026 Registration” and generate a login ID.
  3. Log in using the new credentials to access the form.
  4. Fill in personal, academic and exam-related details.
  5. Upload the required scanned documents, including photograph and signature.
  6. Pay the fee through a credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
  7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

Exam structure and syllabus

JEE Main 2026 will consist of two papers:

  • Paper 1: For B.E. and B.Tech admissions and eligibility for JEE Advanced.
  • Paper 2: For B.Arch and B.Planning admissions.

The syllabus is based on the NCERT curriculum for Classes 11 and 12. Paper 1 includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each correct answer carries four marks, while one mark is deducted for an incorrect response. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. The same marking rules apply to both MCQs and numerical questions.
