New Delhi: As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X and XII board examinations are underway, the Board has issued a stern warning against the spread of misinformation and false claims regarding paper leaks on social media platforms. The exams, which began earlier this month, will continue until April 4, 2025, and CBSE has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent examination process.

In recent weeks, the Board has identified a surge in baseless rumours circulating on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). These posts falsely claim access to question papers for the 2025 examinations, creating unnecessary panic among students and parents. CBSE has clarified that these allegations are entirely unfounded and are being propagated by malicious actors aiming to disrupt the examination process.

To address the issue, CBSE has intensified its monitoring of social media platforms and is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to identify and take legal action against those responsible for spreading false information. The Board has warned that students found involved in such activities will face strict consequences under its UNFAIR MEANS rules, in addition to potential prosecution under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In a public advisory, CBSE urged parents to counsel their children against engaging with or believing unverified information. The Board emphasized that all stakeholders, including students, parents, and schools, should rely solely on official communications from CBSE for accurate updates. These communications are available on the Board’s official website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified public channels.

CBSE has also advised the public to exercise caution and avoid sharing unverified news during the examination period. The Board has assured that it will pursue legal action against individuals or groups found guilty of spreading false information, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the sanctity of the examination process.

As the exams progress, CBSE has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure their smooth conduct, including enhanced security protocols and real-time monitoring of examination centres. The Board has called for collective responsibility from all stakeholders to uphold the integrity of the examinations and support students in performing to the best of their abilities.

For the latest updates and official announcements, students and parents are encouraged to visit CBSE’s official website and verified communication channels.
