Overview

The economic confidence index in Turkey rose to 102.2 in April of 2023 from 98.8 in the previous month. This was the strongest reading since October 2021, as sentiment improved among consumers (87.5 vs 80.1 in March), manufacturers (105.1 vs 104.1) and service providers (118.1 vs 116.8). On the other hand, morale weakened among retailers (116.2 vs 117.7) and constructors (88.4 vs 88.5).
