Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition, introducing an exclusive styling package aimed at enhancing the SUV's visual appeal. The limited-edition Aero package is available across all Hyryder grades and priced at an additional Rs 31,999 over the standard model.

The styling kit includes a new front spoiler, rear spoiler, and side skirts designed to accentuate the SUV's stance and aerodynamic profile. The Aero Edition can be ordered in four colour options -- White, Silver, Black, and Red -- and is available through Toyota dealerships nationwide.

Launched in 2022, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has crossed 1.68 lakh units in sales in India. It is among Toyota's key products in India's competitive mid-size SUV segment, positioned against models such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Tata Curvv.

The Hyryder is offered with two powertrain options -- a self-charging strong hybrid electric system and a Neo Drive petrol variant. The hybrid version uses an e-drive transmission that enables the SUV to operate on electric power for 40% of the distance and 60% of the time, delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl. The Neo Drive variant is powered by a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine with a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox, and comes with both 2WD and 4WD configurations.

The SUV's feature list includes a crystal acrylic grille, twin LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels, ventilated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 9-inch touchscreen system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlights include wireless charging, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat.

Toyota offers 66 accessories for the Hyryder and provides a standard warranty of three-year/1 lakh km, extendable to five years or 2.20 lakh km. The hybrid battery is covered by a separate eight-year/1.60 lakh km warranty.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder range starts at Rs 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom), with the new Aero Edition all set to add a cosmetic upgrade for customers seeking a sportier appearance.
