Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) today introduced two new variants S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT) featuring smart electric sunroof in its popular entry SUV, the Hyundai Exter ahead of the upcoming festive season. Both the variants will come with 1.2l Kappa petrol engine. The S+ (AMT) will be available at Rs 8,43,900 and the S(O)+ (MT) will be available at Rs 7,86,300.
Key Features of Exter
The key features of S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT) variants include Smart Electric Sunroof, Digital Cluster with Color TFT Multi-Information Display (MID), 20.32 cm (8”) touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, all power windows, LED DRLs, front and rear skid plates, headlamp escort function, floor mats, and more.
Safety Features of Exter
The new Exter variants are equipped with safety features, including 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, Day & Night IRVM, Tyre pressure monitoring system - Highline , Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), burglar alarm, ABS with EBD, impact-sensing auto door unlock, and emergency stop signal (ESS), among others.
Hyundai launched Exter last year and the model has five variants that include EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. Hyundai reported an 8% dip in domestic dispatches last month at 49,525 units, from 53,830 units in the year-ago period.
The company sold a total of 71,435 units in August 2023, the automaker said in a statement. Domestic dispatch of vehicles to dealers saw an 8 per cent dip to 49,525 units last month from 53,830 units in the year-ago period. Exports declined 22 per cent last month to 13,650 units, as compared to 17,605 units in the year-ago period.
