Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition in India, positioning it as what the company calls the world's first Formula E-themed electric SUV. The special edition comes in two variants -- the FE2 priced at Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and the FE3, which adds a set of additional features, at Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings open on January 14, 2026, while customer deliveries are scheduled from February 14, 2026.
The company is targeting a growing motorsport-oriented audience. According to Mahindra, racing viewership and engagement across India have grown rapidly, seen in weekend screenings, college motorsport clubs and rising family viewership. The BE 6 Formula E Edition has been created as a response to this shift, bringing the styling and cues of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship into a road-going electric SUV.

The model is based on the BE 6 and adds motorsport-inspired exterior and interior elements. The design changes include a signature front bumper with circular projector headlamps, gloss black bezel detailing and Firestorm Orange accents. Four exterior colour options are available -- Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red and Stealth Black. Other additions include racetrack-inspired 20-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on FE2), Firestorm Orange brake callipers, roof and boot spoilers, Formula E decals, FIA branding on specific panels and 12-stripe graphics on the fixed glass roof and bonnet.
Inside, the cabin gets Firestorm Orange-themed inserts across the dashboard, wireless charging dock and steering components. Additional design changes include a Firestorm Orange FIA X Formula E edition plaque, Formula E logos on the dashboard and seats, FIA-branded seatbelts, translucent door inserts and a race-car-style start/stop button flap. A custom Formula E-inspired startup animation and exterior engine sounds are also part of the package.

Both FE2 and FE3 variants are powered by a 79kWh battery pack paired with a 210kW motor, delivering a 0-100kmph time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 202kmph. Mahindra claims a real-world range of 500km. The model supports 180kW DC fast charging that can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes. Other mechanical highlights include iLink front suspension, a 5-link rear setup, frequency-dependent damping and low rolling resistance tyres.
On the features front, the BE 6 Formula E Edition comes with dual 12.3-inch displays, the Snapdragon 8155 chipset, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman/Kardon 16-speaker audio with Dolby Atmos, 5G connectivity, built-in Alexa, OTT and social media apps, and the Me4U connected suite. Safety equipment includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, all-wheel disc brakes, brake-by-wire tech, intelligent electronic brake booster, driver drowsiness detection and TPMS with individual tyre display.

The first 999 customers will receive a set of assured benefits, including a track-day experience with racer Kush Maini, a collector's box with memorabilia and the option to choose a special number (0-99) for a decal. Their first name will also appear on the Mahindra Racing car that will compete in the London E-Prix. Three customers will win an all-expenses London E-Prix experience.
Mahindra has also introduced a BE 6 Formula E Edition Ride-On for children, priced at Rs 18,000 and available from April 2026.

Earlier this year, Mahindra introduced the BE 6 Batman Edition in partnership with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products. Its immediate popularity was evident as all 999 units were snapped up in just 135 seconds after bookings opened.
The company is scheduled to launch the XEV 9S on November 27. The XEV 9S will be Mahindra's maiden 7-seater electric origin SUV.
