MG Hector facelift debuts at Rs 11.99 lakh with updated design, new features

Powering the SUV is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, available with both manual and CVT transmission options.

JSW MG Motor India on Monday launched the All-New MG Hector, updating its flagship SUV with refreshed styling, upgraded interiors and new technology features. The SUV is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in multiple seating configurations.

The updated Hector gets design changes on the outside and inside, along with enhancements to infotainment, comfort and safety. The model continues to be offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

The All-New MG Hector features a redesigned front and rear with new bumpers and a revised grille called the Aura Hex Grille. The SUV also gets newly designed alloy wheels and is now available in two new colours — Celadon Blue and Pearl White.

MG says the exterior updates are aimed at giving the Hector a more muscular and modern road presence.

Inside, the Hector now comes with new dual-tone interior themes. The 5-seater variant gets a Dual Tone Ice Grey theme, while the 6- and 7-seater versions feature a Dual Tone Urban Tan layout.

Additional upgrades include ventilated front seats, power-adjustable driver seat, adjustable steering, updated upholstery and revised dashboard and console finishes.

The SUV continues to offer a 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system, which now gets faster processing through Smart Boost technology. A new i-SWIPE touch gesture control allows users to operate functions like air-conditioning, music and navigation using multi-finger gestures.

Other additions include a digital Bluetooth key with key-sharing capability, predictive maintenance alerts, remote AC control and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The All-New Hector is equipped with a 360-degree HD camera with wheel view to assist in parking and manoeuvring. Standard safety features include ABS, EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), traction control system (TCS), hill-hold control and brake assist.

MG also continues to offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on select variants.

The Hector is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, available with both manual and CVT gearbox options. The engine produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.

MG is offering its “MG Shield” ownership programme with the All-New Hector, which includes a standard package of three years warranty with unlimited kilometres, three years roadside assistance and three labour-free services. Buyers also have the option to extend warranty and maintenance coverage.

The All-New Hector is available across multiple trims and seating layouts, as MG looks to strengthen its presence in the mid-size SUV segment.
