Snapshot AI
  • Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift expected by late 2026 or early 2027.
  • Facelift to get new features, updated design and tech upgrades.
  • Price likely between Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India, is gearing up to introduce the Brezza facelift in the market. The upgraded compact SUV has been spied testing on multiple occasions, giving us a glimpse of updates it will get.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift launch in India is expected to take place towards the end of 2026 or early 2027. For reference, the Brezza is one of the largest-selling compact SUVs in India, rivalling the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.

From the spy shots, it becomes clear the kind of exterior updates the Brezza facelift will get. While the headlight units are more or less similar, the front bumper has been revised. Even the alloy wheels are new. At the rear, we expect updated LED taillights and revised bumper.

The spy shots have also made it clear that the cabin will get some interesting upgrades, like a new nearly 10-inch infotainment system as well as a new digital instrument cluster. We also expect the new Brezza to feature front ventilated seats, among several other new additions.

If you see the current Brezza, it stands nowhere against the competition in terms of features. It looks almost dated against the likes of the Venue, Sonet and XUV 3XO. However, it still sells more than these three models. The 'Suzuki' badge and the trust customers have in it, does benefit the Brezza.

The Brezza gets a single 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which develops 103PS and 139Nm. The engine can be clubbed either with a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. There is also a CNG option (88PS and 121Nm) with a 5-speed MT.

The spy shots have pointed towards two additions here -- a 6-speed manual gearbox and an underbody CNG tank. Whether this 6-speed MT will be clubbed with the 1.5-litre petrol mill or some other unit is not clear yet. However, the underbody CNG tank is a welcome move as it will free up luggage space in the boot.

Maruti Suzuki started offering the underbody CNG tank with the Victoris, which was launched last year. Moneycontrol was the first publication to report the Victoris will be the maiden Maruti Suzuki car to get an underbody CNG tank.

While the SUV is currently priced between Rs 8.26 lakh and Rs 13.01 lakh (ex-showroom), we expect the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift price to be in the range of Rs 8.50 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
