Mahindra & Mahindra beat Hyundai Motor India and Tata Motors for the third consecutive month to emerge as the second-largest passenger vehicle (PV) manufacturer in the country in June.
While Mahindra, which offers only SUVs, sold 47,306 units during the month, Hyundai trailed with 44,024 units. Tata could manage only 37,083 units.

Mahindra offers internal combustion engine (ICE) models like the Bolero, Bolero Neo, XUV 3XO, Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio Classic, Scorpio-N and XUV700. Its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio includes the XUV400, BE 6 and XEV 9e.
Hyundai's ICE line-up comprises of the Grand i10 Nios, i20, i20 N Line, Aura, Verna, Exter, Venue, Venue N Line, Creta, Creta N Line, Alcazar and Tucson. It sells a couple of EVs -- Creta Electric and Ioniq 5.
Tata sells ICE models like the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier and Safari. It offers EVs like the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev.
With Mahindra, Hyundai and Tata enhancing their production capacity and adding more models to their line-up, the companies are engaged in a three-way battle for the second position behind Maruti Suzuki India.
Mahindra's handsome performance in the domestic market has been driven by a consistent and robust demand for its feature-rich SUVs, which are also popular among buyers for their commanding road presence.
