Youth dies during police recruitment in Hingoli

Hingoli (Maha), Nov 19 (PTI) A 25-year-old youth died today while undergoing a physical fitness test during the police recruitment drive held here, police said. Kantilal Pundalik Mandge, who hailed from Dhotra village in Hingoli tehsil, was trying to finish the mandatory 5-km-long run in the stipulated time during the test when he fell midway on the Hingoli-Narshi Namdev Road, they said. Mandge who was initially admitted in civil hospital was then referred to Nanded hospital where he was declared dead before admission. According to M K Rathod, the district medical officer of Guru Gobind Singh Hospital and Medical College, Nanded, the youth died due to high blood pressure.
