Forbes Billionaires 2011: Mittal,Mukesh Ambani in top 10

Forbes Magazine has revealed its precious list of top billionaires for 2011. According to the list, NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries are amongst the richest top 10.

Forbes Magazine has revealed its precious list of top billionaires for 2011.


According to the list, NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries are amongst the richest top 10. 


On the Forbes billionaire 2011 list, Asia has more billionaires than Europe. Forbes said that rising prices of global commodities and the economic boom in Asia and Russia has boosted the number of billionaires in the BRIC group that includes Brazil, Russia, India and China. These countries have successfully produced half the world's 214 new billionaires in 2011.


Compared to India, China has produced more billionaires by doubling the number to 115, however, in the view of Forbes, average net worth of an Indian billionaire is huge $4.5 billion, while $2.5 billion for a Chinese billionaire.
