Estranged billionaire Elon Musk's transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson seems to enjoy the widening rift between her father and U.S. President Donald Trump, taking a delicate but biting swipe on social media.
Posting a clip of herself laughing with the words "I love being proven right," the 21-year-old Instagrammed in her Instagram Stories as the high-profile battle between Musk and Trump made the headlines.
Wilson, who had legally severed relationships with Musk in 2022 and has been an outspoken critic ever since, also posted one that said, "Such beauty in life," to the tune of Job Application by Chase Icon. While she didn't name either man directly, her posts were obviously about the backlash that has made Musk and Trump, once seeming allies, feral competitors.
The clash between Musk and Trump erupted publicly after Musk blasted Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” as fiscally reckless. The spat quickly escalated, with Musk alleging that Trump appeared in the FBI’s Jeffrey Epstein files, and Trump hinting at stripping Tesla and SpaceX of government contracts.
Wilson's response to the feud became an instant viral hit. In one video, she mouthed "I do not want to comment" before she burst out laughing, a scene widely taken as a biting commentary on her father's political involvement.
The strained relationship between Wilson and Musk has made headlines in the past.
Musk has accused what he refers to as the "woke mind virus" of brainwashing his daughter, even going so far in an interview as to say that he had "lost his son," referring to Wilson's transition. Wilson had replied in court documents: "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form."
