The public feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump turned uglier as the tech billionaire directly accused the US President of being named in the unreleased files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
"Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Musk wrote on X.

Musk’s statement comes amid renewed calls for the full unsealing of Epstein’s files, which reportedly contain the names of hundreds of individuals linked in some way to the late financier and convicted sex offender. While several names have emerged through previous legal proceedings, many of the court-sealed documents remain out of public view.
It's worth noting that Trump has previously acknowledged a past acquaintance with Epstein but has repeatedly denied any involvement in his criminal activities. He has also claimed to have banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago “a long time ago.”
Meanwhile, Trump said he asked "crazy" Elon Musk to leave his administration and threatened to take away the tech tycoon's government contracts, as a growing row over the US president's budget bill triggered a bitter public divorce with his top donor.
"Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave," Trump said on his Truth Social platform. "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts."
Tensions between Trump and Musk exploded into public view earlier today, as the US president said he was "very disappointed" by his billionaire former aide's criticisms and Musk hit back in real time on social media.
"Look, Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office after Musk slammed his tax and spending mega-bill as an "abomination".
The world's richest man responded by live-tweeting on his X social media platform as Trump spoke on television, saying that the Republican would not have won the 2024 election without him and slamming him for "ingratitude."
