Bollywood actress Kajol shared three pictures of daughter Nysa on Instagram; the first showed Nysa lying on the floor with a big smile on her face, enjoying the company of a cute puppy resting on her tummy; the second captured Nysa dressed in a golden lehenga; and the last featured her playing with a puppy.

‘Maidaan’ clashed with another biggie ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ at the box office. The movies were released on the holy festival of Eid and they planned to cash in on the extended weekend.

Ajay Devgn played the role of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the film, set between 1952 and 1962. His tenure as a football coach was known as the Golden Era of Indian football.

Mysuru sessions court had ordered a stay on the release of 'Maidaan' in Karnataka following a plagiarism complaint. The Karnataka High Court heard the case today and has cleared the film for release in the state.

'Maidaan' starring Ajay Devgn is based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim also known as Rahim Saab, who was known as the architect of Indian football. He devoted his life to football and his tenure as a coach was known as the 'golden era' of football in the country.

Tamil actress Priyamani, who plays Ajay Devgn's wife in 'Maidaan', and Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who plays the antagonist in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', have worked in six films together, and she says 'almost all of them were hits'.

Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan', directed by Amit Sharma, has managed to sell 16,178 tickets in the domestic market while Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan clocked 50,000 in pre-release ticket sale. Going by these figures, both the movies haven't set huge records seeing as it is a big festival break this Eid.
