The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has declared the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 results for Class 6 today, March 17, 2026.  Students who appeared for the entrance examination can now check their selection status online through the official website at cbseit.in. The results are also available on the NVS portal at navodaya.gov.in.

Steps to check JNV Class 6 Result 2026

The NVS has made the result-checking process simple and accessible for all candidates. Parents and students can follow these steps to view and download the JNVST Class 6 result 2026:

Step 1. Visit the official result portal at cbseit.in or the NVS website at navodaya.gov.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, look for the link titled "View JNVST Class 6 Result 2026 (Individual)" and click on it.

Step 3. Enter the required login credentials, including your roll number and date of birth.

Step 4. Click on the "Submit" button to proceed.

Step 5. Your JNVST Class 6 result will appear on the screen with all the details.

Step 6. Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference during the admission process.

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test is conducted annually for admission to Class 6 in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. These residential schools, functioning under the Ministry of Education, provide quality education to talented children, primarily from rural areas.

The JNVST Class 6 exam pattern comprises three sections with a total of 80 questions for 100 marks:

Mental Ability Test: 40 questions (50 marks) – 60 minutes

Arithmetic: 20 questions (25 marks) – 30 minutes

Language: 20 questions (25 marks) – 30 minutes

Details mentioned on the JNVST scorecard

After downloading the result, students and parents should carefully verify all the details mentioned on the scorecard. The JNVST Class 6 result 2026 includes the following information :

  • Student's full name
  • Roll number and registration number
  • Father's and mother's names
  • Date of birth
  • Gender and category
  • District name and block code
  • School name and code
  • Marks obtained in each section
  • Total marks and pass status

Results will also be available at the offices of the District Education Officer, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, and the regional office of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

The Samiti will also release a region-wise selection list PDF, which will include the names and roll numbers of selected students for easy reference.
