Xiaomi unveils Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro with 11.2-inch 144Hz displays and powerful performance: Price, specs

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the Pad 7 is backed by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. Both tablets ship with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 OS.

Alongside the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 7 series in China. The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro come with identical designs sporting a metal unibody and are a mere 6.18 mm thin. Further, both tablets are backed by an 8,850mAh battery with up to 67W charging support.

Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro: Price

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has a starting price of CNY 2,499 (around Rs 28,500) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Its 8GB + 256GB variant is available for CNY 2,799 (around Rs 32,000), the 12GB + 256GB variant for CNY 3,099 (around Rs 36,700), and the 12GB + 512GB variant for CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 39,000).

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 7 is available for CNY 1,999 (around Rs 23,500) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant. Its 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (around Rs 27,500), and the flagship 12GB + 256GB variant is available for CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 30,500). Both the tablets are available in Black, Sky Blue, and a special Soft Light Edition colour options.

Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro: Specifications, features

Both the Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro feature a similar 11.2-inch LCD screen with a 3,200 x 2,136 resolution, up to 144 Hz refresh rate, and 800-nit peak brightness. In terms of processing power, the Xiaomi Pad 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, while the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.

Both tablets are powered by a robust 8,850 mAh battery. The Pad 7 charges up to 45W, while the Pad 7 Pro supports 67W fast charging. In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Pad 7 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. On the other hand, the Pad 7 Pro has a 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front-facing camera.

Both tablets run on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2.0 operating system. In terms of connectivity, they have USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, quad speakers, quad microphones, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
