Vivo is set to unveil its latest Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, in India today, June 20. The device is expected to be the successor to the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G, which debuted in March this year. According to teasers shared by the company, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G will feature a sleek design, a 3D curved AMOLED display, and upgraded AI-backed software features. The company has also confirmed support for 4K video recording via both front and rear cameras.
Expected price in IndiaWhile the official pricing will be announced at the launch event, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is expected to be positioned around the Rs. 25,000 mark. This puts it in direct competition with other mid-range smartphones like the OnePlus Nord CE 4, Nothing Phone 3a, and Motorola Edge 60. Vivo has confirmed that the phone will be available in a Freestyle White shade, with at least two additional colour options expected at launch.
AvailabilityThe smartphone is likely to go on sale soon after launch via Flipkart, Vivo’s official India e-store, and partner offline retail outlets across the country.
Expected features and specificationsThe Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is rumoured to sport a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. The phone is expected to run FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15 and feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Vivo has confirmed the inclusion of several AI-backed tools, including Circle-to-Search, AI Note Assist, and AI Screen Translation. In terms of optics, the device may feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. A 32MP front-facing camera is also expected. The handset could house a 5,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
