Vivo T4R set to launch in India soon: Design, display, camera, and battery details we know so far

Vivo is gearing up to launch its latest T-series smartphone—the Vivo T4R 5G—in India on July 31. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has confirmed several features, giving buyers a detailed look at what to expect. The phone will be priced under Rs. 20,000, making it a new option in the affordable mid-range segment. Here’s everything revealed so far about the upcoming Vivo T4R 5G.

The Vivo T4R 5G is confirmed to sport a slim profile with a thickness of just 7.39mm. It also comes with a flat-edge design and is likely to be available in multiple colour options. Vivo is highlighting the phone’s durability, which includes an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification after passing five rugged environment tests.

The smartphone will feature a quad-curved AMOLED display, supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate. Although the screen size hasn’t been confirmed, reports suggest a 6.77-inch FHD+ panel, promising a smooth viewing experience for video and gaming.

Under the hood, the Vivo T4R 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. Vivo claims this chip delivers an AnTuTu score of over 750,000. The phone is expected to come with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

On the rear, the device will house a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 2MP depth or bokeh lens. It will also support 4K video recording. On the front, users will get a 32MP selfie camera, which is also capable of capturing 4K videos.

The T4R is expected to pack a 5700mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging, offering extended usage on a single charge.

The device will likely ship with Funtouch OS based on Android 14. Other features could include virtual RAM support and gaming optimisations.

Vivo has confirmed that the phone will go on sale via Flipkart and Vivo’s official channels after the July 31 launch. More details, including price and sale offers, will be revealed on the launch day.
