Tecno launches Pova Slim 5G in India with 5.95mm thickness and Ella AI at Rs 19,999

Tecno has launched the Pova Slim 5G in India, which the company claims is the world’s slimmest 3D curved 5G smartphone. The device features AI-powered functions, a dynamic mood light design, and enhanced durability.

Price and availability

The Tecno Pova Slim 5G is priced at Rs 19,999. It will be available in three colours – Sky Blue, Slim White, and Cool Black – at retail stores across India starting September 8, 2025. The device comes with 16GB RAM (8GB physical + 8GB virtual) and 128GB storage.

Features

The smartphone measures 5.95mm in thickness and weighs 156 grams, making it the slimmest 3D curved 5G device currently available. It features the world’s first Dynamic Mood Light Design, allowing the rear panel to light up dynamically in response to calls, notifications, and user interactions.

The Pova Slim 5G sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Durability is further enhanced with MIL-STD 810H certification and an IP64 rating for resistance against dust and splashes.

For AI-powered experiences, the device integrates Tecno’s Ella AI assistant with support for Indian languages. Features include AI Call Assistant, AI Writing, AI Image Editing, Circle to Search, and Privacy Blurring. These functions aim to provide personalised assistance, productivity tools, and content creation support.

Connectivity options include 5G+ carrier aggregation, 4x4 MIMO, and Dual SIM Dual Active support. The device also carries TÜV Rheinland certification for high network performance.

The Pova Slim 5G is equipped with a large-capacity battery with fast charging support. Tecno highlights its ability to balance slimness with endurance, aiming to deliver extended usage despite the lightweight build.
