Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has introduced the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max smartphones in China. The flagship Redmi K90 Pro Max model is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, while the Redmi K90 is equipped with last year's 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Further, these smartphones are backed by more than 7,000 mAh battery packs and feature a Bose-tuned speaker setup.

Redmi K90, Redmi K90 Pro Max: Price, availability

The Redmi K90 Pro Max has a starting price of CNY 3,999 (around Rs 49,000) for the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and goes up to CNY 5,299 (around Rs 65,000) for the top-end variant with 16GB RAM + 1TB storage. Meanwhile, the Redmi K90 price starts at CNY 2,599 (around Rs 32,000) for the base model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and goes up to CNY 3,999 (around Rs 49,000) for the flagship model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Both phones are now available in China via the company's online store.

Both smartphones run on the Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Redmi K90 Pro Max sports a 2K 6.9-inch OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and the Redmi K90 is equipped with a smaller 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the Redmi K90 Pro Max is Qualcomm's latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Meanwhile, the Redmi K90 is backed by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

For photos and videos, the standard Redmi K90 carries a triple-rear camera unit with a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it has a 20MP selfie camera. Similarly, the K90 Pro Max also carries a triple-rear camera unit with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom capability, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it features a 32MP selfie camera.

The Redmi K90 packs a 7,100mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. In contrast, the Redmi K90 Pro Max has a larger 7,560mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
