The world of Indian cinema is grieving the loss of one of its most loved and versatile actors, Satish Shah, who passed away on 25 October at the age of 74 following kidney failure.
He is survived by his wife, Madhu Shah. His death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment fraternity, leaving an irreplaceable void in both television and film.

Colleagues, co-stars, and admirers remembered him not only for his memorable performances but also for his warmth and humility off-screen.
Ameesha Patel, who had the privilege of working with Satish Shah in her debut film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, shared a moving note on her Instagram story.
She wrote, “Saddened to hear this heartbreaking news! Had the privilege to work with him in my debut film, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Fine actor but finer human being! Om Shanti.”
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to X to express his sorrow, writing, “I'm deeply shocked to hear about the demise of the talented actor Satish Shah sir. Director Karan Johar also mourned the veteran actor’s demise on his Instagram story with a simple, heartfelt message: “Om Shanti.”
R Madhavan took to his Instagram to share an old image with the late actor, He captioned the post as, “The heavens will be a merrier and a happier place now. Satish Ji we make the Gods laugh out loud as they admire their own creation. Thank you for being such a solid wind beneath my wings early on in my career for constantly believing in me and egging me on. You will be missed you so very much, Satish Ji.. A void that can never be filled Rest in Eternal Peace sir as we grapple on how to carry on without you. OM Shanthi.”
Farah Khan, who directed the Satish Shah in her 2004 hit ‘Main Hoon Na’, also expressed her sorrow. “Rest in peace, dearest Satish. You were a joy to know and work with. Will miss you sending me memes and jokes every day (sic)," he wrote.
Anupam Kher, who was saddened by the news, posted a video on Instagram explaining how the industry lost three of its gems in three days.
Comedian Ali Asgar also took to his Instagram to mourn the loss of veteran actor writing, "Heartbroken to lose a legend whose kindness, wisdom, and warmth touched so many lives.
