Realme has launched its next GT smartphone today, the Realme GT 6T in India. It is the first smartphone in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset. Realme also claims that the smartphone has up to 6000 nits of peak brightness, which makes it great for outdoor usage. The GT 6T also marks the comeback of Realme's flagship killer GT series, after a gap of more than one and half years.
Realme GT 6T: Price and availability
The Realme GT 6T is available in four different variants with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Its starting model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage has been priced at Rs 30,999. The 8 + 256GB, 12+256GB, and 12+ 512GB variants are priced at Rs 32,999, 35,999, and 39,999 respectively.
Prospective buyers will also get an additional Rs 4,000 discount with HDFC, ICICI, and SBI credit cards. Realme has promised an extra exchange bonus of Rs 2,000, which makes its effective starting price Rs 24,999. The GT 6T has Fluid Silver and Razor Green colour options, and it will be available from May 29 on Amazon, realme.com, and other official retail stores.
Realme GT 6T: Specifications and features
Realme GT features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a peak refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 certification and has a peak brightness of 6000 nits. This is the highest brightness level currently available on any smartphone worldwide.
Additionally, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor with upto 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. In terms of optics, the GT 6T has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP SONY IMX355 wide-angle lens.
It has a big 5500mah battery with support for 120W fast charging. Realme claims that this charger can top half the battery in 10 minutes. Realme has promised four years of security updates and three years of OS updates. The Realme GT 6T has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
