UK-based smartphone brand Nothing is set to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, in the coming weeks in India and global markets. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed the chipset details of the smartphone and revealed that it will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. Meanwhile, previous leaks and rumours have tipped the design and key specifications of the handset.

Nothing Phone 3: Chipset details

The Nothing Phone 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, the company revealed in a press release. Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, has claimed that this chipset will improve the CPU performance by 36% and GPU performance by 88% over the Nothing Phone 2, which uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Further, the brand has confirmed that it's the ‘most advanced processor in a Nothing smartphone to date.’

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.8GHz, and two Cortex-A720 cores at 2GHz. This processor currently powers the recently launched iQOO Neo 10 and is also expected to power the upcoming Poco F7.

Nothing Phone 3: Expected specifications, price

The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to come with a 6.77-inch AMOLED 1.5K display with a 50MP triple rear sensor setup with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, and a dedicated periscope telephoto shooter. Further, it will likely have a battery capacity of more than 5,000 mAh and could feature 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

Recent leaked design renders have revealed that it could arrive with a transparent back panel. However, the brand has revealed that the Phone 3 will not feature its traditional Glyph Interface and will likely be priced around £800 globally, with an Indian pricing between Rs 50,000 and 60,000. It will be introduced alongside the Nothing Headphone 1 on July 1.
