Instagram users, you can now post up to 20 photos and videos in one post

Instagram has doubled the number of photos and videos one can share in a single grid post. The company has confirmed to The Verge that it has extended the limit of photos and videos in a single post from 10 to 20.  This means users can now share more photos and videos at a time in a single grid carousel post.

Rollout details

The extended limit for photos and videos in posts is now rolling out to all users globally. However, it is a gradual rollout. This means it may take a while to become available to all users.

Instagram, however, hasn’t confirmed an exact timeline by which the feature will become available to all users. We expect it to become available in the coming weeks to all users.

Instagram rolled out the carousel feature in 2017 and since then, the social media platform has added several new features to make it more user-friendly. Recently, the company added the ability to add songs with the grid post. Apart from this, posts on Instagram now also let users add collaboration which makes it possible for multiple users to add their content in one post.

Steps to post 20 photos or videos in single post

Make sure you’ve received the update. For this, check for any update available on the Play Store or Apple App Store, if you are an iPhone user.

Now, open Instagram and start with creating a new post

Tap on the “Select Multiple” option and then start selecting photos and videos.

Select up to 20 posts and hit the “Next” button at the top right corner

Customise as per your need and then hit the Post button.
