    Funding to Indian startups stagnates in May in spite of large, late-stage deals

    While the amount of funding in the late stage almost tripled to $458 million from $149 million in May last year, investors made only four investments in May, over eight deals in the year-ago period.

    To be sure, the total funding in the first five months of 2024 also went down slightly by about six percent compared to the same period in 2023.
