BSNL announces Azadi ka Plan at Re 1; comes with unlimited calling and daily data

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new limited-period prepaid recharge plan named the “Freedom Offer” ahead of India’s Independence Day celebrations. This plan, introduced via BSNL’s official social media channels, is available exclusively for new subscribers and will be valid between August 1 and August 31.

Benefits and price
The Freedom Offer is priced at just Re. 1 and comes with a validity of 30 days. It includes 2GB of 4G data per day, unlimited voice calling across all networks, and 100 SMS per day. Once the daily data limit is exhausted, users will continue to receive internet access at a reduced speed of 40kbps as per BSNL’s fair usage policy.

In addition to the telecom benefits, BSNL is also offering a free 4G SIM card as part of this plan, making it a comprehensive starter package for new users.

Eligibility and availability
This plan is exclusively available for new BSNL users. Those who wish to avail themselves of the offer can visit their nearest BSNL retailer or Common Services Centre (CSC). These centres act as access points for a range of BSNL services, including SIM card distribution and mobile recharges.

The plan has been introduced under the theme of “Digital Azadi” and is meant to promote digital access during the Independence Day period. Existing BSNL users are not eligible for this plan.
