PepsiCo India’s Sting Energy has partnered with Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to become the battle royale game’s official in-game energy drink. The collaboration, which begins today and runs until July 14, integrates Sting Energy directly into the BGMI gaming experience and brings co-branded bottles to retail shelves across India.

Sting integration in BGMI as power-up drink

As part of the partnership, Sting bottles now appear as energy power-ups in the BGMI game. Players will experience the brand’s signature jolt of energy along with a custom Sting mnemonic inside the virtual world. This marks the first time an energy drink has been officially integrated into BGMI gameplay.

In addition to in-game branding, co-branded Sting X BGMI bottles will be available in stores and on e-commerce platforms. Each bottle features a QR code that redirects buyers to PEPGenie, PepsiCo’s WhatsApp chatbot. Players can scan the code to access four unique in-game missions designed for collaboration. On completing these, they unlock a final grand challenge that offers limited-edition BGMI digital collectables.

BGMI 3.8 update

BGMI has also rolled out the new 3.8 update to the game

BGMI 3.8 update introduces Steampunk Frontier Mode in Aetherholm, featuring Titan battles, ODM gear, slide rails, and treasure rooms. Running May 15–July 14, it brings themed visuals and weapons. The update includes an India-first Sting® tie-up, cricket-themed events, esports campaigns, and a special anniversary crate with gameplay improvements and tweaks.
