Apple has introduced an all-new colour to its compact smart speaker — the HomePod mini. The smart speaker will now also be available in midnight colour option. The midnight colour option is very similar to the space grey shade it replaces.

The HomePod mini is made with 100 percent recycled mesh fabric and is just 3.3 inches tall. Despite the compact design, the HomePod mini offers clear and powerful audio output.

HomePod mini in midnight will be available starting Wednesday, July 17. The other colour options include yellow, orange, blue, and white. The price hasn’t changed and it will retail at Rs 9,999.

HomePod mini seamlessly integrates with Apple's ecosystem, allowing for easy control with Siri, music streaming from Apple Music, and smart home management. On the HomePod mini, Siri can control smart home accessories at specific times.

HomePod mini users can listen to a catalog of over 100 million songs with Apple Music. Users can also pair two HomePod minis for stereo sound and use multiroom audio as well. Users can even use the smart speaker to pair Apple TV 4K.

Users can also send an Intercom message from one HomePod mini to another — whether in a different room, a specific zone, or multiple rooms throughout the home — and their voice message will automatically play on the designated HomePod mini. Intercom even works with iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and CarPlay.

The Apple S5 chip runs advanced software to analyse the unique characteristics of the music. It also applies complex tuning models to optimise loudness, adjust the dynamic range, and control the movement of the driver and passive radiators, all in real time.
