Yuzvendra Chahal wears 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' shirt during divorce hearing with Dhanashree Verma, sets internet abuzz

Yuzvendra Chahal wore a t-shirt which said 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' at his divorce hearing.

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s t-shirt has become the talk of the town after he left the Bombay High Court following his divorce from Dhanashree Verma on Thursday (March 20). The leg-spinner initially arrived wearing a jacket but later stepped out without it, revealing a bold statement on his t-shirt that read: "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy."

An interesting observation was made when Chahal arrived for the hearing, dressed in a black hoodie and fully covered as the cameras focused on him. However, what truly caught attention was his appearance when he left the Family Court. Many fans were left amused with his outfit as they speculated that the cricketer took an indirect dig towards ex-wife Dhanashree without even saying a single word.

'Be you own Sugar Daddy' T-shirt grabs attention

"The word on his T shirt says alll," wrote on user on social media reacting to Chahal's outfit. "He literally wore tshirt saying, 'Be your own Sugar Daddy'," wrote another person. "This is the most savage alimony hearing move I have ever seen," wrote one page on X reacting to Chahal's t-shirt.

The reactions come months after the whole saga of their divorce and reports claiming that Dhanashree will get Rs 60 crore as alimony. However, on Tuesday it was revealed that the cricketer has paid Rs 4.35 crore as alimony and their focus was to get the divorce done quickly by mutual consent petition, waving off the mandatory six-month cooling-off period. The cricketer had paid Rs 2.37 out of the agreement amount and the High Court noted that he complied to give the second installment of the alimony after the divorce.

What is RJ Mahvash's role in the controversy?

The duo of Dhanashree and Chahal unfollowed each other few months back. The news of their rift sparked when RJ Mahvash was spotted with the cricketer during the Champions Trophy final in Dubai. Mahvash refused all the dating rumours but in the meantime Dhanashree posted a message stating - "Blaming Women is always in fashion."

The couple cited "compatibility issues" as the main reason for their divorce. Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, who tied the knot in December 2020, parted ways in June 2022. On February 5, 2025, they filed a petition seeking a waiver of the six-month cooling-off period.
