Yuzvendra Chahal deletes cryptic post after fans link it to Dhanashree Verma alimony rumours

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal appears to have taken another jab at his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma on their alimony agreement. The leg-spinner's now-deleted Instagram story has sparked rumors that he was subtly mocking his ex-wife by citing a recent Delhi High Court ruling that said "financially independent wives cannot demand alimony from their husbands." Chahal commented, "Maa kasam khao nahi paltoge iss decision seh," which roughly translates to, "Swear on your mother you won't go back on this decision," while posting a screenshot of the court's ruling.

Chahal gave fans ample time to take screenshots of the Instagram story, but the post was quickly removed. Within minutes, the post became viral after followers reposted it on other social media sites.

Supporters quickly connected Chahal's post to Dhanashree, with some speculating that it was a personal insult. Others claimed that he was only endorsing the decision in the post.

Online discussion about their well-publicized split was immediately rekindled as fans quickly connected Yuzvendra's mysterious explanation to the time of the court decision. Fans are curious about what happened between Chahal and Dhanashree prior to their divorce being officially announced because they have made some noteworthy remarks disparaging each other even after their split.

Fans quickly connected Shikhar's humorous remark to his personal life crisis when he tells Yuzvendra, "Teri bhi shaadi karva denge beta (We'll get you married too, son)," in the video, leaving the spinner visibly embarrassed.
