Since KL Rahul’s animated exchange with Lucknow Super Giants' owner Sanjeev Goenka after a heavy defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad went viral, rumours have been swirling about Rahul leaving the franchise and potentially joining Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2025.
In a recent development, a viral video captured a conversation between a fan and Rahul. In the footage, the fan asks about the possibility of KL Rahul joining RCB. In response, the talented right-handed batsman expresses his optimism, saying, "Let's hope so."

"I am a die-hard RCB fan. I have been following RCB for a very long time, and you having played for RCB in the past, and now with the rumours, I won’t say anything. But yeah, I am just wishing and praying that you come to RCB and make an impact here," the fan said, to which KL replied, "Let's hope so."
Rahul began his IPL career with RCB in 2013, representing his home team. However, his time with RCB was brief as he moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
In 2016, Rahul rejoined the Bengaluru-based team, but unfortunately, an injury kept him out of the entire 2017 season. After his release from RCB, Rahul’s IPL journey took him to Punjab Kings, where he played from 2018 to 2021.
Rahul has been leading LSG since their debut season in 2022, guiding them to consecutive playoff appearances, though the team faltered in the knockout stages both times.
The 2024 season marked their lowest point yet, as they finished seventh in the league standings, a significant drop from their previous performances.
