Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who announced retirement from Test right before the tour to England 2025, was spotted at The Oval in London on Saturday. The former Indian Test captain was in attendance for the ongoing Test against England on Day 3.
It’s the first time since his retirement from Test cricket that the former India captain has turned up to cheer for the team in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series.

Rohit's retirement had left an uncertainty about who would be the next India captain, until Shubman Gill was handed the responsibility. Gill has been leading the unit effectively as witnessed in the ongoing series against England, where India trail 1-2 with the final Test underway.
Videos of Rohit were shared on social media.

Apart from Tests, Rohit has also announced retirement from T20Is, which was after leading India to the World Cup held last year in the USA and West Indies. He, however, remains an active player in ODIs. His fans will have to wait for a bit to see the 'Hitman' return to action as Team India don't play any 50-over match until October 2025.
Both Rohit and Virat Kohli, who has also retired from the Test and T20I format, are set to feature in the ODI leg of India’s white-ball tour of Australia, which begins on October 19, 2025.
